Responsibilities of the Role
The Support Analyst will be responsible for managing user access to applications and providing production support. This includes troubleshooting issues during and outside regular business hours, including nights and weekends. Candidates will be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation and are expected to follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Other tasks include monitoring application performance, maintaining documentation and reports, collaborating with vendors and technology partners, and ensuring service availability and security. The role also involves working in an Agile setup, managing user stories, identifying production risks, and implementing changes without disrupting business operations.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, and SQL
- Ability to create detailed technical documentation
- Skills in analysis, development, testing, and deployment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of transaction acquiring, issuing, or payment systems
- Familiarity with ITIL processes for managing incidents, problems, and changes
- Experience with Connex is an advantage but not mandatory
